Journal Prompt #19

The quote this week was 'Get up an hour early to live an hour more.'  It will be no surprise to anyone that knows me that I did not use this quote for my journal page.  I admit that when I do get up early I get more done.  However, I believe I am a productive person and more isn't always better.

I went with the quote 'Allow your light and vision to shine.'  I  am learning to do that more and more. For this page, I used a color copy of a quilt block I created years ago. The piecing is far from accurate yet I still think it is beautiful.

It is a fantastic block!
You will always have your light 'switched on'.
If I got up an hour earlier I would have to go to bed an hour earlier, and therefore not gain any time by an early rise!

Slow Stitching Sunday

 Working on another wool mandala.  It is a pleasure to have the wool on my lap now that the weather has turned colder.  I started this project back in the summer and didn't enjoy working on it so much then.  I wonder if I can complete this project this winter.  There are fifteen wool mandalas to do.  It doesn't seem likely that I will.  I could be wrong.  I don't want to put any undue pressure on myself.  There is no deadline.  The spring might be cool enough to continue working on it.   My but I do jump into the future.  Slow stitching really helps me to be present.  I am so grateful that stitching is such a balm for my soul.  We all need to have something that does that for us.   I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/
