Journal prompts 9 and 10


Week #9 the quote is 'A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures anything.'  Laugh and sleep are definitely good!  Not sure if they are a cure for anything but it is possible!
Week #10 'There is a lot that is good in your life - don't take it for granted.  Don't get so focused on the struggles that you miss the gift of today.'  Since coming home from holiday my heart has been overflowing with gratitude.  I am so very blessed.  I do not take for granted all that is good in my life!  And there is an abundance of good!

The first quote is scientifically proved to be right; both a laugh and good sleep rejuvenate the body and uplift/calm the mind. I am sure they are not the cures for EVERYTHING, but almost anything can feel easier to bear with the help of laughter and sleep.

For the second quote. Well, we certainly need to feel gratitude towards what we have and enjoy the moment. However I think the lessons learned in the past and the hopes for the future are also very important. Without the past and the future we can not compare the present, and therefore maybe not see what we have to be grateful for.

Oh, I love reading your quotes and sitting here with some needlework and meditate on the truth (or lack of truth) in them.
