Slow Stitching Sunday
I have been working on this piece for many years. I feel like it is finally finished. I have completely enjoyed working on this piece. I only use the last bits of thread that are on a needle. I often have a bunch of needles like that on my desk. When the pile gets big enough, I set to using up the thread on this piece. I so enjoy this process. This is the second piece I have done like this. It is so fun for me that I have another one waiting in the wings. I 'paint' the background with oil pastels. They take a long time to dry, so I did one last year in anticipation of this one being finished. Even still, I am sure that some oil pastel will come off on my hands when I start working on it, but it won't smudge noticeably. I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/
