The main styles are auditory (hearing) rote or memorization, visual (maybe reading or seeing charts) kinesthetic (that's me, learn by doing something like writing or making or touching) Are there other ways to learn I've forgotten? Is it still your style today? Since I am Canadian, we did not do the Pledge of Allegiance. We sang O'Canada. My granddaughter still does that but thinks the song is annoying. She is so funny. I am a hands-on learner with auditory a close second. If I combine the two by doing something while listening, it sticks in my memory the best. Having homeschooled my three sons, I am well-versed in learning styles. All three of them learned differently! They kept me on my toes! I like learning in general. Is that good advice for a pedestrian? Walk steadily, but look up into the sky? I think it would be wiser to look straight ahead while walking, glancing down from time to time to see you are not stepping into something nasty (banana skin, puddle, dog's poo, broken tiles....)
ReplyDeleteMetaphorically it is of course good advice to admire the stars and dream, while at the same time being practical and keeping steady.
