does your family play games? what kinds and are any of them new ones
this year? Cards? board games? puzzles? action games like darts or
horseshoes etc?

My kids love to play games.  They used to regularly get together to play but now that they have children it doesn't happen so much.  When they were children I used games in our homeschool all the time.  A lot of learning happens while playing games.  Plus it is fun!

Nowadays, we play children's games like Crazy Eights with our oldest granddaughter.  She loves games.  The others are just a bit young for games right now but it will come.

Personally, I love to play games on my tablet.  Candy Crush and Angry Birds are my favourites.  I also have been doing the puzzle Connections with my husband each evening.  I have also gotten back into Wordle.  They are great ways to keep the brain active.

The photo above is a watercolour meditation.  I am sure there are many techniques for taming watercolours but I am not interested in learning them.  I love their free-flowing wildness.  I am happy to say that I have no concern about this looking chaotic and messy.  I love playing/meditating with watercolours!

I love Connections - I play it every night, too! When I was teaching I also used games for teaching and practicing skills - the kids get a lot out of that.
We played games with the kids when they were little but we don't play them anymore. I play Wordle and Connections too! I love Sudoku.
