I like

Did you learn to swim, and how old were you? Who taught you? Were you on
a swim team and what was that like? Did you go to a neighborhood pool
and what was that like?
do you still enjoy swimming?
I did take swimming lessons but didn't get very far. Just enough to learn the basics. The neighbourhood pool was a short walk which was convenient. My neighbour and friend got a swimming pool and I spent a lot more time in that pool. We even went skinny dipping one night when I slept over. I also spent a lot of time in the water at our cottage.
I do not like swimming. I do love to float though. After being at a beach this winter and seeing lots of creepy things in the water, I decided I am a pool person. I do love to walk along the beach and look for shells and sea glass.
I love walking in the neighbourhood. Last week I saw such a lovely iris and a bee pollinating it. The bee was a bit too fast to get a crystal clear photo of it. Oh well.
I enjoy getting lost in the art-making process. What makes that even better is when I can take it outside and enjoy the weather. Finally, we had some warm days this week!
I like that the community centre where I go for yoga classes is across from a river. Yesterday there was so much bird song. Lovely! I have yet to walk down to the river but plan to after my next class.
I love to walk along the beach and look for shells and stones, too! The iris is so pretty - I had to go back and look for the bee after you mentioned it!
ReplyDeleteSwimming is important for those who live near a river or the sea. Also, if you have a yacht, which my family had, it is vital to learn how to swim, and always to wear a life jacket.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to live close to nature and have birds and bees in your neighbourhood.

Angela, I'm with you on sticking to pools. I did enough lake and ocean swimming as a kid. Don't need eels or jellyfish to be nearby!!! :D Have a great day!
