April guild challenge

Purple and green are the colors for our April sinchie challenge.  My base is fabric, paper, and paint.  I drew on the leaf but then didn't know what to do next.  This morning I saw something done by Kim Thittichai.  She loves all things glitter as much as I do!  I was inspired to get out my glitter and transfer foil.  It has made the five-year-old inside me very happy.  Now what else can I glitter?

I'm with you on the glitter. A suggestion given to me a while back when I wanted to add glitter to paint is to combine the paint with a gel medium. This way you can paint and add glitter at the same time. If you blend the paint with just glitter, the glitter will fall off after the paint dries.

Slow Stitching Sunday

 Working on another wool mandala.  It is a pleasure to have the wool on my lap now that the weather has turned colder.  I started this project back in the summer and didn't enjoy working on it so much then.  I wonder if I can complete this project this winter.  There are fifteen wool mandalas to do.  It doesn't seem likely that I will.  I could be wrong.  I don't want to put any undue pressure on myself.  There is no deadline.  The spring might be cool enough to continue working on it.   My but I do jump into the future.  Slow stitching really helps me to be present.  I am so grateful that stitching is such a balm for my soul.  We all need to have something that does that for us.   I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/
