  I just saw recipes for Fudgecicles would you want a fudgecicle or
orange creamcicle?

I would definitely choose an orange creamcicle.  I am not a big fan of chocolate, unless it is extremely good chocolate!  My favourite cold treat is Dole Whip, which we first had when we were in Hawaii.  It is so yummy and refreshing.  We found an ice cream place that sells it here in town!  We went a few weeks ago with the grandkids.  Yum.

I like having the house to myself!  Hubby does a yearly camping trip with a bunch of guys.  He will return tonight.  I have enjoyed a week of not cooking!  Still, I will be glad to have him home.  I have been watching The Gilded Age this week.  I love a period piece.  It is done by the same people who created Downton Abbey. 

I like it when women support women, and artists support artists.  I just learned that Georgia O'Keeffe and Yayoi Kusama were supportive of one another.  Kusama reached out as a young artist and O'Keeffe replied.  Their correspondance went on for decades!  How cool is that!

    The Dole Whip sounds yummy! I've never had that, but now I want to try it. I'm glad you enjoyed your week by yourself, and now I bet you're glad to have him coming home, too!

    In Japan, many people like shaved ice desserts - a bowl of snow-white ice shavings which is topped with tasty syrup or fresh fruit. I prefer ice cream as a treat on a hot day.

    Artists need to support each other, as do we all. I am so grateful for all the support I get from my blog readers.

Slow Stitching Sunday

 I enjoyed stitching my September slice.  I got out my book by Carole Samples Treasury of Crazy Quilt Stithes.  It has wonderful combinations of stitches.  I have had this book for years and never properly used it.  It uses basic stitches in interesting combinations. So, I didn't really learn any new stitches but I did enjoy combining stitches in new ways.  I might find that more helpful in the long wrong.   The weather has still been cooperative for stitching outside.  The week ahead looks good too.  I might get a jump start on my October slice.  It is sad to think about putting away the deck furniture but it can wait at least a week. Slow Stitching Sunday

 How did it get to be December!  I really meant to fill in the big gaps in my November slice!  I still might.  We will see how it goes.  I got a lot of other stitching done in November so I guess that distracted me from this project.  There is only one slice left to stitch on this project and I find myself jumping ahead to next year. I wonder if I want to do another monthly project like this for next year.  I like having a monthly project.  I might consider doing a mixed-media instead of stitching.  Not that I couldn't incorporate some stitching into that though.  I have no clear idea at this point and that's okay.  I have to get through the holidays!   I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/
