Word for the Month

Coming up with a word to focus on each month isn't a problem.  This month POSSIBILITIES is my choice.  I have found an interesting experiment to use as the base.  I created it a while back.  I started with some hand painted silk and added layers of mixed media.  I added more paint, transfer foil, paper, ribbons and stitch.  Oh yes, and a couple of beads.  I really like it for this textile journal that I am putting together.

Adding words in stitch is harder than I thought it would be.  Usually when I do a focus word for a period of time I do it in an art journal.  That is so much easier!  However, I am up for the challenge of finding a way to add words with stitch.  It is definitely a learning experience!

I love the lines of rice-rac and folded ribbon - you have proven that there are a lot of POSSIBILITIES in art!
You've managed to put together stray bits of this and that in a way that appears as though they were collected with that project in mind. A lovely, tranquil color scheme. I find adding text as part of the design element, quite daunting. This is why I admire the Pixeladies ( https://www.pixeladies.com/home-portfolio/ ). Text is their work.
