bead journal project for April

My sweet sister in law gave me the starfish.  She told me she\s excited to see what I create with it.  I love the under the sea theme so it was fun for me to create this piece.  I started with white silk that I then painted and added rubbings.  I also did some needle felting and stitching.  Finally I added some beads.

Dear Princess Bubbles!! Haven't you heard? Its not about how many beads you lay down, its about expressing yourself in your art. Its about committing yourself to find a little time do do art that you enjoy creating! Silly you.
You have a whole mix of techniques in this piece that I don't know anything about, but I sure think its cool!!

Ditto what Carol wrote... no further apologies about the number of beads you put on a piece. This project is what you need and want it to be for YOU as an individual.

That said, I love your undersea piece and especially the fabric you created for it and the rich embellishment that gives it depth and texture. The fascinating little bits of this and that, the thread embroidery... WOW!!!!

Keep it up! More beads only if and when you have time and inspiration for them. Your work is uniquely yours and I'm proud of you!

How gorgeous! I always love your work! Thanks for sharing with us.
I agree with Carol & Robin....it doesn't matter how many beads you put on your pieces. All that matters is that you use them to express yourself. Your piece is absolutely beautiful. I love the sea and feel a strong pull towards it everytime I see a thoughtful portrayal.
