Chevron stitch for TAST

I am always glad to learn something new.  This stitch is new to me and I was a bit intimidated by it.  I am glad to say that it really isn't that difficult.  Well, except for the nasty thread that I was using.  OH my gosh!  It was constantly snarling, tangling and being plain nasty!
The top picture is my first attempt.  I probably should have tried it on some even weave.  Oh well, I am a wonky kind of gal anyway.  The next picture I added it to a row of the herringbone stitch.  I like the way it looks.
Thanks to Sharon B at http://www.pintangle.com/  for doing Take a Stitch Tuesday.  I am really enjoying the process.

Doesn't look terribly wonky to me. But then, I guess I'm kind of wonky, too. LOL

It really looks lovely. WOW! Corduroy is a great non-even-weave fabric for this stitch.

I did more pulling out on this stitch because I decided to try some metallic and silk ribbons I had just acquired. Finally settled in with some "old" thread and got it done. Your stitches look great.

Looks fine for your first attempt!! If I may, here's a piece of advice - choose an easy thread to work with (like a cotton) when first learning a new stitch. No sense adding unnecessary aggravation with a difficult thread... :)
