Journal Week #22

The quote this week is 'Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.'  I love this quote but feel a lot more could be added to it.  What would you add to the list?
I used pastel pencils to draw these calla lilies.  I have never considered drawing to be a strong skill of mine but these aren't half bad.

The calla lilies are beautiful. I'd say you've got a hidden talent in drawing you didn't know existed. --Andrea

Hm, this quote is true and there is a good list of the benefits. What would I add? Hm... I don't know. Maybe some negative aspects! The creative person can be faced with loneliness and misunderstanding (if no one has yet understood the new creation), envy and legal battle (whose invention is it? is the idea actually stolen from someone else?) and before a prototype is completed a lot of time and money has gone into the creative process. However, it could also mean that you are saving the world, if you find creative ways to recycle, cook with only left overs and knit with ripped up wool, use onion skins for dyeing, stitch quilts out of used, cleaned and dried tea bags....
Your calla look great.
