Oh, how I love looking at this kaleidoscope image. These are so much fun to create. I ponder how I can further use these images but maybe I don't have to. Maybe I can just look at this and enjoy it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my blog! It means so much to me and I truly appreciate it! Whenever possible I reply to comments. warm regards Angela Princess Bubbles
I started this collage-style fish this week. Such a fun little project. I have no purpose for this fish at the moment but I do love an underwater theme. I love working with bright colours as well as blues and greens. I am sure I will find a fun home for this fish eventually. I am excited to start adding beads and sequins but there is more embroidery to be done first. Plus, that tail needs some work. I think I have some funky yarn that will work nicely. Oh, how I love to embellish! I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/
How did it get to be December! I really meant to fill in the big gaps in my November slice! I still might. We will see how it goes. I got a lot of other stitching done in November so I guess that distracted me from this project. There is only one slice left to stitch on this project and I find myself jumping ahead to next year. I wonder if I want to do another monthly project like this for next year. I like having a monthly project. I might consider doing a mixed-media instead of stitching. Not that I couldn't incorporate some stitching into that though. I have no clear idea at this point and that's okay. I have to get through the holidays! LeeAnna and the gang are discussing do you like amusement parks? which one is your favorite? Do you like rides or shows better? I have enjoyed amusement parks over the years. It has been more than 20 years since I last went to one! I guess that means that I have outgrown them. I no longer care for rides but do enjoy the shows. It makes more sense to just go to a show! I guess I would go to one if my grandkids were going. The closest one is Wonderland and that is about an hour's drive. I like that my ideas for a book for my grandson are finally starting to come together. I have been playing with a number of different ideas that just weren't working. Finally, I have landed on something! That feels good. This book will be done with mixed media rather than textile art. Textile art is a slow process which I enjoy but I have three more grandchildren to write books for after this one! I gotta keep this mo...
This is fabulous! I looked at it enlarged and wow there sure is a lot of stuff on it. Did you make it?
ReplyDeleteDelicious eye candy. What flavour is it? Candid violets? Blue grape juice? Dark cherry?
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning. Reminds me of Paula Nadelstern's work. Do share more, perhaps in your next post, about how it came to be.
