Mandala Progress


 I do love going through my stash and finding just the right piece of fabric.  I bought this lovely silk years ago and I am happy to finally use it.  Stitching through silk is always a pleasure.  I think it works quite well with my painted doily.  Now it is time to consider how I will further embellish this.  I kind of like it just as it is but beads are also calling to me.  I am okay with letting the next step come to me when it is ready.  

There are so many ideas percolating in my head right now.  Some with deadlines so others will have to wait.

That's a nice design for the doily, and you will make it even lovelies when you have spilled out some beads!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
