Slow Stitching Sunday

I had been feeling the need to do an encrusted piece of work.  No big ideas were coming to me.  It made sense to take one of my small floofy book pages and encrust it.  It was fun to go through my stash of beads to pick out the right things.  I do love going through my stash!

I am thinking it could use a bit more stitching but maybe not.  I have to be mindful of this becoming too heavy.  I also have to be aware of the edges.  A decision still has to be made as to which edges will be sewn together to form the scroll.

Yesterday was my slow stitching day.  The weather was perfect for stitching outside and enjoying my deck.  I am not sure if that will work for today.  Thankfully, we are getting a bit of rain right now.  No complaints.  We desperately need it.

Glad to hear that you're getting some rain. I know Canada needs it! Your beaded page is lovely!

It must seem like a treasure hunt each time you go through your stash. How fun!

You have a lot in your stash to choose from. Even if you didn't have so much, you would make the best of what you had. Look how the stitches add structure and texture. Some of them are like beads themselves.
