Work in Progress Wednesday


 I allowed myself the pleasure of starting another wool mandala even though I don't have the first one finished.  Mostly I am disciplined about finishing things.  But there are times when I have so many ideas and I know they will slip away if I don't act on them.  

This mandala doesn't look like much yet.  It seems rather dull to me.  I will have to consider what to add to brighten it up.  I know for sure I have some beautiful threads and beads to add to it.  Going through my stash to find the right things will be a pleasure.

It looks like an LP - a vinyl record. Adding beads and fancy threads will bring out the music!
It is always easier to start things than to finish them, isn't it?

I like where your mind is going with this...to threads and beads too. I love mandalas and I will enjoy seeing what you create, Angela.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
