Do you play summer sports? Tennis, or golf, or pickleball, etc? Do you
have a special outfit for them, or equipment?

I do not play summer sports.  I don't play any sports, actually.  I get my exercise through walking and yoga.  I completely enjoy them and that is what counts.  I can get a bit competitive when it comes to sports and I would rather not do that.  Plus, I am not particularly good at sports.  Enjoyed gymnastics in high school.  Those days are long gone!

I like bubbles.  Since my blog is called Princess Bubbles Creates, that isn't news to anyone.  I bought a bubble machine a few years ago and it died this year.  I ordered another one the next day!  My grandkids love the bubbles.  My neighbours have also commented on how much they enjoy them.  Such a simple way to spread some cheer!

I love my studio space.  I have been so immersed in creating art this week.  We had a couple days where it was too hot to be outside so I puttered happily in my studio. It feels good to get things done without rushing.

Slow Stitching Sunday

 I enjoyed stitching my September slice.  I got out my book by Carole Samples Treasury of Crazy Quilt Stithes.  It has wonderful combinations of stitches.  I have had this book for years and never properly used it.  It uses basic stitches in interesting combinations. So, I didn't really learn any new stitches but I did enjoy combining stitches in new ways.  I might find that more helpful in the long wrong.   The weather has still been cooperative for stitching outside.  The week ahead looks good too.  I might get a jump start on my October slice.  It is sad to think about putting away the deck furniture but it can wait at least a week. Slow Stitching Sunday

 How did it get to be December!  I really meant to fill in the big gaps in my November slice!  I still might.  We will see how it goes.  I got a lot of other stitching done in November so I guess that distracted me from this project.  There is only one slice left to stitch on this project and I find myself jumping ahead to next year. I wonder if I want to do another monthly project like this for next year.  I like having a monthly project.  I might consider doing a mixed-media instead of stitching.  Not that I couldn't incorporate some stitching into that though.  I have no clear idea at this point and that's okay.  I have to get through the holidays!   I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am still working away at attaching my circles to this piece.  I have added some other stitching as well.  I am very keen to add some beading to this one but that must wait.  Beading needs to be the last step.  I don't need the frustration of my threads getting snagged on the beads.   Progress can feel oh so slow.  Especially when it is because I am distracted by other projects!
