Slow Stitching Sunday

It feels good to be back on track with my tree per month project.  It is funny how ideas morph and then cause challenges.  I love figuring out a way to make the challenge work.  Sometimes it takes a while but that's okay.

This tree was started on a piece of cloth that was stitched by someone else but was never finished.  Can you see all the nice even cross stitches?  They were not done by me.  I added paint to the cloth to make it my own.  I cut out the tree shape and used the buttonhole stitch to adhere it in place.  That wasn't the best stitch to use but it got the job done.  The tree is slightly askew.  I like it that way even though it wasn't intentional.

  2. The cross stitches look like leaves on the tree. I look forward to seeing what you add to this.

  3. I really like the shape of your tree. Great idea to paint it to make it your own!

  4. This is a fun tree, Angela! I like how you made it your own, even though someone else had already stitched on the fabric. Are you planning to add more to it?
