do you like amusement parks? which one is your favorite? Do you like
rides or shows better?
I have enjoyed amusement parks over the years. It has been more than 20 years since I last went to one! I guess that means that I have outgrown them. I no longer care for rides but do enjoy the shows. It makes more sense to just go to a show! I guess I would go to one if my grandkids were going. The closest one is Wonderland and that is about an hour's drive.
I like that my ideas for a book for my grandson are finally starting to come together. I have been playing with a number of different ideas that just weren't working. Finally, I have landed on something! That feels good. This book will be done with mixed media rather than textile art. Textile art is a slow process which I enjoy but I have three more grandchildren to write books for after this one! I gotta keep this moving.
I like that all my sons and their families came for a barbecue on Sunday! One son lives 2 hours away and another lives 1 hour away. It makes it a challenge to get together regularly. I am so grateful that I have one son who lives in town!
That's so great to have a get together with all of the family! I hope you'll share the book you're writing for your grandson, too. I'm like you about amusement parks - enjoyed them when I was younger, but not really interested anymore!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you got together with your sons. I hope you make great progress with your grandson's book. I'm sure it will be a treasure!
ReplyDeleteIn Japan, amusement parks are VERY popular and usually well-run and maintained. Tokyo Disneyland soon became a great hit and is still attracting record crowds. Now the various Harry Potter-related attractions are drawing crowds like bees to honey.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been recently, but wouldn't mind going - if the parks were less crowded!
