Slow Stitching Sunday
I am enjoying this technique of using up scraps so much! I have started a butterfly. Loads of stitching needs to be done yet. My small bag of tiny scraps is slowly getting used up and that feels good. There will always be more scraps!
I can envision creating a series of butterflies in this manner. I love butterflies. I am thinking I would like to add some silk ribbon embroidery to this one.
We are going apple picking this afternoon as a family. It is a bit of a drive so this is the perfect project to take in the car. My granddaughter has been asking if we can open the sunroof and stand up through it when at the apple farm. We did it last year and I am so glad that she had fun and wants to do it again!

ReplyDeleteYour butterfly is lovely, Angela! It would definitely be fun to stitch up a series of those. Have fun at the apple farm today!
ReplyDeleteYour sweet butterfly is burgeoning with a plethora of pretty scraps. I like the thought of the addition of silk ribbon embroidery into the mix.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Quilting by the sea
ReplyDeleteMaking a butterfly out of your scraps is a great idea, and well worth the fiddly work when the result is as fanatastic as this one.
ReplyDeleteHave fun picking apples - through the sunroof, too, if possible!
