I remember in elementary school, exchanging Valentines with classmates, did you? It was a big deal, which cheap card to give to which child. We had to give everyone one... we decorated the box too.
remember those little cards and the tiny envelopes?
Yes, exchanging those sweet little cards was a fun thing to do. I remember you would get about 30 of them in a pack. It was just the right amount. You could give everyone in your class one. I remember the year I was too sick to go to school. I didn't get any cards that year and was sad. My big brother, who is ever so thoughtful, bought me a giant lollipop. I must mention that to him to see if he remembers.
I love happy accidents. The kind that were meant to be! I emailed a friend, but clicked on the wrong email address, so it went to someone I haven't been in contact with for a long time. It was a delight to reconnect with her!
I love playing around with watercolours. I love that they want to do their own thing. They are not easy to control. I both like and dislike that. Both things can be true.

Your water color heart painting is lovely, Angela! When I was teaching, I made sure I collected Valentines for any students who were absent, and they got them when they came back. I'm sorry your teacher didn't do that for you!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of your brother to bring you a lollipop when you were too sick to get your Valentine's Day cards. I love your heart picture at the top. Looks great!
