Princess Bubbles Creates

I have to say that the instructions for the  Up and Down Feathered Buttonhole Stitch made no sense to me.  I ended up getting a chain stitch attached.  It might be because I had dental surgery yesterday and I am not firing on all pistons!  I think I managed to get it to look like it is supposed to.  I probably should have waited another day or so to try this!

I have been doing some volunteering at the local Bibles for Missions thrift store.  I have to say that I really enjoy it.  Aside from finding cool things and helping a good cause it is a good chance to connect with a friend that also volunteers there.  I love having friends!  Especially friends like Lynda that know me so well.  She saw these gorgeous fabrics being donated and thought of me immediately!  So fun!

I made more progress on my April CQ block.  I am moving along fairly well on this one!  Still the weeks seem to be flying past faster than normal right now! Thanks to Sharon B at  http://pintangle.com/   for helping me to stay on track.

This is a new stitch to me.  It looked like a tough one to learn so I just worked in on a loose piece of fabric.  I didn't have the confidence to try it on one of my crazy quilt blocks.  I am glad that I didn't as I think it will take me some practice to get it right.  I probably should have worked on aida cloth or similar.  It would have made it easier to keep things even.  I do like the stitch.  Thanks to Sharon B. at  http://pintangle.com/  for the instructions.

It feels so good to complete a block each month.  I know at the end of the year I am going to be really pleased to have twelve blocks to stitch together!

I honestly wonder how people can part with these lovely napkins and place mats.  I am grateful that I find them and will put them to good use.  I do have quite the stock pile right now.  I better get stitching!

Honestly, the weeks are flying by!  I didn't make much progress on this block this past week.  I added the silk ribbon roses.  They are so pretty and work well with the block.  Reporting in on my progress really does help.  Even if it wasn't a lot of progress!  Thanks to Sharon B at  http://pintangle.com  for helping to keep me on track!
