Princess Bubbles Creates

My bead journal for January is finished.  I think I was drawn to the image of the candle because I hope I am always a source of light and joy.  It was interesting to stitch on leather as I have never tried that.  It was not as pleasant as stitching on wool or silk. Today Take a Stitch Tuesday has started again.  Unfortunately, the stitch didn't work with my flowers and I didn't have time to do stitch it on something else.  My January flowers are making me so happy!  What a great way to counteract the winter blues!

February is going to be a busy and fun month for me.  Hubby and I are heading to New Zealand for a vacation.  I am super excited about the warm weather there.  I am not excited about the long flight to get there.  Oh well, I will suck it up.  Since I will be away for a few weeks I need to get things done before I go.  This is my six inch block for our guild challenge.  The two colors for February are blue and yellow.  This piece of fabric I created the same way you create paste papers.  I plan to stitch with gold thread and beads. Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even if you don't want to do it.  I think that is true.  I feel like I have developed a fair amount of discipline in my life thus far.  That is not to say that I couldn't use more!  Especially when it comes to housework.  I tend to give myself little rewards once I have completed a task I wasn't eager to do.  Time to stitch after cleaning the bathroom is a good reward.

My crazy quilt block is coming along nicely.  I am feeling on top of things.  I was a bit concerned with all the projects I have given myself this year.  Turns out the more I have to do the more I get done.  Deadlines and commitments are my friends. Flowers are so cheerful.  It is a delight for me to stitch a flower each day. It was absolutely brilliant of me to think of doing flowers in January!  There is only fourteen more flowers to be added to this.
