Princess Bubbles Creates

Reversed Buttonhole Bar  is the stitch  Sharon B  challenges us with this week.  I love this stitch.  I decided to try it with beads.  No surprise to anyone I am sure.

My bead journal for July is rather different for me.  I wrapped beads around a piece of driftwood that I found.  Eventually, it will be attached to an altered book.  The top photo is a mixed media fibre piece I created.  Lots of texture on this one!  I believe I will attach it to the cover of the same altered book.  I just haven't found the right book to alter as yet.  Eventually, this will all come together. The prompt this week was to create a page with hearts.  I wasn't particularly inspired.  The background is paper that I dyed a number of years ago.  I like the way the paper turned out but just never got around to using it so it was about time!  I used Gelatos to create the heart.  The quote I used says 'Follow your passion, listen to your heart, make every day a celebration of your vision and soul.' R. Pickens

It is now August and my July crazy quilt project is not quite finished. It feels good to be stitching with  Sharon B  again.  Life has been busy this summer!  This is my first attempt at  Zig Zag Coral  stitch.  I probably should have practiced first but it seemed the perfect stitch for adding beads!
