Princess Bubbles Creates

I have made the perfect home for my found poetry collage cards.  I have made quite a stack of those cards and have been puzzling what to do with them.  This collection work just right in this lace heart pocket.  I love it when things come together so nicely!

I feel like I haven't been very productive this last couple of weeks.  In fact, I have just in a different way.  I have been purging my abundance of supplies.  I took a carload of things to the thrift store and that feels really good.  I have also unearthed some treasures.  I have four blocks sewn together, upper right.  I never finished those blocks and now I am glad that I haven't.  I pulled out some more recent blocks and realize that they look pretty good with those four.  Also, the one that I am working on this month will look good with them.  That means one more block needs to be created to make this into one larger quilt.   I had been puzzling about what to do with the blocks I am creating this year for the crazy quilt block challenge.  Now I know what to do with some of them!  I am linking to https://www.quiltfabrication.com/ http://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.com / http://www.esthersquiltblog.com/

My crazy quilt block for March is coming along.  Most of the fabrics are my own surface treated designs.  There is definitely a certain pleasure in using these fabrics.  There was great pleasure in creating them in the first place.  There is still a fair amount of embellishing to do on this block.  I am hoping to get a good chunk of that done today as I have to work.  Aren't I blessed that I get to do some stitching at my job? I have coral reefs on my brain.  I have been doing a lot of hyperbolic crochet and have two small pieces on this.  I think it is the colour and texture of a coral reef that really captures my imagination.  I am really enjoying working on this and plan for it to become a book cover.  There is still a lot to do on this piece but I am making good progress. The guild sinchie challenge this month is Buttons and Beads.  I was really tempted to just use a beaded piece that I have already created but ultimately felt like that would be cheating.  Instead, I went through my unfinished experiments.  I found this piece of felt that I had used a soldering tool to melt synthetic fabrics to adhere to the felt base.  I added some buttons and beads.  It certainly isn't a masterpiece but it is interesting. It seems like it has been ages since I have participated in Take a Stitch Tuesday with  Sharon B .  I have stitched the Pistil stitch onto handmade paper.  I started doing this years ago and got sidetracked from it.  I have all the paper cut and ready to be stitched.  I have about 10 more pieces of paper left to stitch upon.  I plan to assemble them all into a concertina book when I am finished.

Not on a bead on this bead journal yet.  I do like the fun butterfly buttons that I found.  I feel like they work perfectly on this.  I decided to count my mandala pieces.  I have 15 in various states.  Is fifteen enough for a solo show?  I think probably not.  Not enough is my natural inclination in most situations.  I am trying to get over that and I am succeeding in many ways so that feels good.
