Work in Progress Wednesday

I have a fair amount of wonkiness happening on this block.  I am not sure how to fix.  Any tips?  I am always excited to start a new project so I am not always patient.  I thought adding a lot of lace would hide the problem.  That didn't work all that well.   I probably shouldn't link with anyone as advertising this block isn't likely in my best interest.  Oh well, maybe someone can learn from my mistake.

It is still looking good. Sometimes you have to use a stabiliser on the back of your fabrics to get them even. This 'wonkiness' can be caused by using different weight fabrics in one piece.

Very pretty, do you press each patch as you sew each seam? If not that may help. If so, do you use a hoop when you embroider? If not, maybe try one. Good luck.

I am probably the wrong person to ask for tips. I love that there are no rules with crazy quilting - as I am really good at wonky seams. If the lace is really bothering you, I suppose you could remove some. However, when I see it, I see opportunities to layer stitching (flowers? vines?) on the lace, and lovely green seams to embellish. Best wishes!

Do you know that you can actually use this as a wonky block! In free embroidery ANYTHING is possible, so in free quilting ANYTHING should also be possible. Make the best of the situation!
