Princess Bubbles Creates

  I have pulled this piece out to work on it again.  It was feeling too precious and I was concerned about making a mistake on it.  That is never a good way for me to work.  So it had to go away for a while. I have now added some butterflies to it and like the look.  It maybe needs one more butterfly but smaller.  The butterflies were cut from fabric that I had marbled and the other from fabric I had done a rubbing.  I am incredibly grateful for my creativity.  I am grateful for my art supplies.  I can even be grateful for the time this pandemic has given me for creating.  I can easily lose all concerns when creating whether it is with paint and paper or needle and thread.  My coffee filter mandalas bring me so much pleasure.  Often I will stitch right into them but this one I am wondering if I should print on fabric.  It would allow for more stitching as I wouldn't worry about perforating the paper too much.  But getting the colour just right is an issue.  hmm I am linking to http://ninamariesayre.blogspot.com/

  This journal page for Trinity is finished.  It is active and full of colour and that suits her personality.  It feels good to have this finished to my liking. I have had high frustration levels with other projects and needed this win!

Does it not feel good to surround yourself with beauty?  My world feels pretty small right now as we are in yet another lockdown that seems like it will never end.  It is a bit hard to see others free and yet I am happy for them. I must be content knowing that my turn WILL come.  Distracting myself with gorgeous flowers helps.  I think I can find beauty anywhere.  Maybe, that is my super power! Well, I dove in and did the face yesterday.  I am definitely not happy with it.  Even unhappy enough to pick it out.  I hate picking out but it needs to be done.  I may be able to salvage some of it.  At least I hope I can.  I am unclear as to how to fix it right now.  Maybe once I pick some of the beads I will have a better idea.  That is two fails this week.  Lessons learned, move on.   I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/  

 I haven't made a lot of progress on my whole cloth crazy quilt.  I am still working on attaching the main motif.  I am a little bit regretting using this beautiful silk.  It is flimsy and the tree motif square is a bit stiff.  Not making it easy to get a smooth attachment.
