altered book

This altered book was different for me.  I worked with a theme as well as a colour scheme.  I don't usually work with a colour scheme.  It was a challenge for me to work with just a few colours.  This page I used Caran d'ache watercolour crayons over top of gesso.  Oh my gosh, I love those crayons  I splurged and bought the entire set of 128 this past spring.

  1. Did you find that restricting the colours made you more inventive in other ways?

  2. Hey Margaret
I tried to find an email address for you but couldn't so I am answering here. Yes, restricting my palette was a good exercise for me. It forced me to try new things - most of them I liked and will try again.
