Slow Stitching Sunday

Aw, my whole cloth crazy quilt is approaching completion.  Finishing a project feels oh so good.  Well, finishing the fun part.  Backing and binding will need to be done eventually.  Not what I enjoy doing.  There are only two sections that need to be filled.  I am pondering what to do about the butterfly in the lower left.  Does it need to be filled in with some stitches or paint?  I think I will decide once I have the other areas stitched.   There is a lot going on in this piece.  I particularly love the way the stenciling of the dragonfly turned out.  The turquoise metallic paint I used worked perfectly.   I am keen to try my hand at another whole-cloth crazy quilt.  Bigger.  Not so big that it overwhelms me though.  I found myself dreaming of sitting outside to stitch this morning.  The sun is shining but of course, it is way too cold.  Spring will be here before we know it and I will be out there with needle and thread happily stabbing cloth!  Until then I will stay inside and coz
