Mandala or Kaleidoscope

Yay!  Finished!  I am happy with this one.  The fabric definitely did all the work.  My wonky piecing is not so noticeable now that I have added beads and sequins.  Honestly, I could just sit and look at this one for a time.  There is just the right amount of sparkle. Stitching almost everyday

Image
This is my stitch a day project for February.  I am so pleased with it.  It makes me happy to look at it!  I have been stitching for March as well but I am a bit behind.  I don't have much on my calendar for the next couple of days so I am hoping to get caught up and post about it next week.  There are a number of projects that I am behind on doing.  I am trying to not let that bother me. This week the quote was "Live like a grownup, play like a child."  Love it!  I am definitely a child at heart.  I wrote I don't want to adult today, I just want to play.  Definitely how I feel most days but I am responsible enough to do the adult thing most days. It has been a while since I posted a coloring page.  It seems appropriate to do so today.  Please feel free to print and color this mandala.

I started off coloring this design with colored pencils as I often do.  And just as often I find myself changing to markers to finish the coloring.  It is odd to me that it has taken me so long to figure out that I don't really like pencil crayons for coloring!  I still like to use them for adding shading though.  Mind you I did use pastel pencils to add the shading on this one.

Another week, another coloring page.  I used permanent markers, including gold and silver, and pencil crayons.  The silver Sharpie shows up rather nicely.  I love the shading/blending you can get with pencil crayons but they certainly take more work than the markers.  Using both is a good compromise.  I would love to see how you color this image!

Please enjoy!  I colored mine with brush markers and Sharpies on photo paper.  Happy New Year!

I had fun coloring this, as I usually do.  I used a number of different things to color it: a glitter gel pen, metallic silver Sharpie, Crayola markers, and Prismacolor pencil crayons.  You are welcome to print and color this image.  Enjoy!

I really like this design.  I think I could have done a better job coloring it.  I am not thrilled with the gold that I added around the edge.  The light pink seems a little off as well.  I may try it again with different colors.  Please feel to print and color.  I would love to see what you do with it.

Here is my coloring page for the week.  I was going for a snowflake with this one.  I used a silver Sharpie marker and managed to capture the shine!  Not easy to do.  Have fun coloring this design!
