Slow Stitching Sunday
I have added some beading to this mandala and feel like it is finished now. This is the last hooped mandala for my show. It feels really good to have completed 65 stitched mandalas and I think/hope my show is beautiful. I still have two other mandalas to work on that are in two different collaborative pieces. I have three collaborative pieces for the show. One with my family, one with the seniors I teach and one with my granddaughter's kindergarten class. The family one is finished. I am resisting the temptation to clean up the messy bits that were done by the littles. It is an accurate depiction of all the ages that contributed to it. The mandala is stitched on that piece. All of the circles/spots have been painted on the piece by my seniors. I am still working on the mandala part of that collaboration. The collaboration with the kindergarteners hasn't taken place yet. I will be going to the class on Nov. 4. I haven't told my granddaughter yet. I think she
