free motion quilting and melting fabric

I am really loving that I can free motion quilt now.  I need to practice so I have been just experimenting with some different fabric.  This piece is two different sheer fabrics stitched and then heated with a heat gun.  I love the holes and that you get a lacy affect.  Just playing!

    Hi Angela I love doing free motion sewing and even do it on paper that I have painted and heat gunned. You ae a gal after my own heart.
    I have a pic of some paper on my blog at the moment.I think it was before I free motioned it. Keep praticing you are doing well I love the colour.

    I checked out your painted paper, very cool. I absolutely love Beryl's book, I haven't seen her DVD's though I would like to.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
