Take a stitch Tuesday Crested Chain stitch


Thanks to Sharon B at http://pintangle.com/ for the instructions for this stitch.  It looked a bit tricky so I started out on a scrap fabric.  I felt like I got the hang of it so I moved to a crazy quilt block.  I am not totally sure that I have done it right.  But being a free wheeling kind of gal I am going to go with it.  It may not look perfect but it doesn't look horrible.  Today  practice letting go of perfectionism!

    I have yet to get started. It does look like a complicated stitch, but I will try to 'go with it' as you say. Actually I think it might be a good filling stitch worked tightly together, then any small irregularity would not be noticed, ha, ha!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
