Work in Progress Wednesday

I am still working on my August CQ block.  It is close to being finished though.  I am not completely happy with the upper right corner but I do think I have a solution for that.  Hopefully I can finish this up fairly quickly so I can get started on my September block!

    I agree! What an adorable block! I love snowmen. How did you make the hat? It is such a cute touch. (I must warn you, if you share how you did it, I am likely going to try it someday!)

    You have a lot of pretty pieces of fabric in your block. Can the light fabric in the corner be dressed with a thin net, lace or some darker buttons? The might add balance, if you feel you need it.

    Adorable snowman! I thought my eyes were playing tricks....snowman on an August block? lol doesn't mean it's about August, now, does it? Silly me.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
