My new baby!


I have made do with a used sewing machine my whole life.  One that never worked properly and made steam come out of my ears.  The last one was from my Mom and worked great but didn't do everything I needed it do.  I bought this beautiful Janome on Feb. 17 using some money from my inheritance from my Mom.  Feb. 17th was the 6 month anniversary of her death and I didn't realize it at the time.  I know Mom would be happy that I got a new machine.

    What a wonderful gift you gave yourself from your mother! I, too, got a new machine after my old one gave up. It is such a joy to use a machine that do what you want it to do. I fully understand what you mean by steam coming out of your ears!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
