My version of Take a stitch Tuesday

Valerie Bothell posts a seam treatment each day!  For the month of April she is concentrating on the cretan stitch.  I know I have done it before but I had to look up instructions for it as I didn't remember how to do it.  http://embroidery.about.com/od/Embroidery-Stitches/ss/Cretan-Stitch.htm
I used my new Valdani  cotton threads.  I am adding the stitches to my April CQ block.  Again, I am finding the patterned fabric a bit much but I will keep at it.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
