Mucking about with inks

I used some Dr. Martin's inks to 'dye' some cotton pads and cheese cloth.  I douse them liberally with water to get the inks to blend and mix together.  I love the surprises that I get.  So serendipitous!  I have already used the cotton pads in my bead journal project for this month.  I have so much fun getting inky.

    I would never have thought of using cotton pads for anything stitchy. How clever you are!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
