Journal Week #40

The prompt this week is collage.  I created the tree with fabric scraps.  I love the way it turned out.  The sky is painted mulberry paper.  The ground is actually green but looks brown in this photo.  It is made from paper that I dyed.  The quote says 'A light wind swept over the corn, and all nature laughed in the sunshine."  Anne Bronte

    With fancy embroidery on the 'seams' of the pieces you would have a crazy quilt. Cq is actually an elegant form of collage, isn't it?
    I like the mulberry paper sky, too.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
