Additions to my odd quilt

I am working on a self portrait quilt, it is a bit odd/unique.  You can see it here.  It has taken me a while to figure out the 'hair'.  My middle son, Jeremy was home last weekend and we were talking about this piece.  I feel like I should give him some design credit as our discussion really helped me!  He is so smart!  I have attached charms, broken jewelry, a key etc. to chains and will stitch these to the piece.  This 'hair' will go up and out from the mask.  Kind of wild and funky.

    The face is made up of lace and the hair of chains and charms. You have such original ideas, as does your son! Great parters in art!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
