Repurposing

This weird little piece isn't what I would call successful.  Not all my experiments are but the wonderful thing about that is I learned something.  Still, this piece doesn't have to be tossed.  I am planning to cut it down to make a journal cover, possibly two.  I also want to continue to add some hand stitch and some beading.

    Reminds me of a very expensive throw pillow I saw once in a very expensive store in Yorkville TO. Basically the same idea. Of course I said to myself...I can do that but I never did.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
