Experimentation

I found a bag of roving at the thrift store a while back.  The gorgeous colours called to me and I couldn't resist buying.  I am unsure of the fibre content but that doesn't really matter to me.  I used the roving to create this piece of 'silk' paper.  Well, that is the technique I used, I don't think it is silk fibre.  I also did a bit of needle felting into it.  I think it will make a great base for my next textile journal page.

  1. I'm a not-as-much-as-I-should-to-get-really-good-at-it spinner...but if that was hand-dyed wool (maybe merino)...you may have just broken the hearts of many spinners even better than I look forward to seeing what the future brings for that piece now. :-)
