Work in Progress Wednesday


 I added some faux gems to the butterflies and now I am happy with this mandala.  It just needed a bit of bling.  I am sure bling doesn't make everyone happy but it does me.  I really want this piece to say joy.  That is almost always a goal for me.  I know there are artists who want to call out the injustices in this world and there certainly is a place for that.  Just not in my art world at this time.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
