Slow Stitching Sunday

I have sewn together some of my floofy book pages to create this scroll.  Some of the pages I wasn't super happy with but stitched them together anyway.  I am glad that I did that.  I will now add some embroidery to the joins.  I don't want the seams to be so noticeable.  I want the scroll to read as one unit, not individual pieces.  There must be a better way to say what I mean but hopefully, everyone understands what I mean.

I believe that adding to the seam area will help with the pages that I am not thrilled with.  On the whole, I am happy with the way this is coming along.  I have lots more of these floofy pages.  I really enjoy stitching on these little gems.  I might have enough for three scrolls.  Plus, I add a bunch more scraps after cutting up some of my experimental fabrics.  So many more possibilities for floofy pages!

  1. Yes I definitely know what you mean! When you add stitching that crosses the joins, it will be less noticeable and you will love every page :) ENJOY!

  2. They are little gems. I especially like the color palette - if you don't have a title, I suggest "Ocean" something.

  3. I bet your scrolls are so fun to look at up close and in person! I would want to see (and probably touch!) all the stitches and fabrics. Have fun adding more to what you've done already!

  4. This is going to be a fantastic scroll, and by covering up the joints with fancy stitching or e.g. a decorated ribbon, you will add even more pizazz to it.

  5. Your pieces are lovely, are you going to make a snippet roll?
