Work in Progress Wednesday


 I have started working on another scroll.  All of these fabrics are ones that I have painted/dyed etc. I have applied some thread circles  I created the circles with scraps of thread.  I was hoping that would be all that was needed for this scroll.  But the circles just look plunked on and need to be integrated.  I am not sure what the next step is for this scroll.  I think likely more circles of some sort.

I like the threadballs. When you see several of them together from a distance you can sense there is a connection, up close they must be interesting to study in detail - what kind of threads are there? metallic? furry ones? how were they attached?...
Leave them as they are a bit and see if you need to add or change anything, is my suggestion.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
