Slow Stitching Sunday


 More mixed media was added to this mandala.  Even though this is a slow stitching project no stitching was added.  I stencilled it with some acrylic paint.  I have also added some transfer foil.  That will be it for the mixed media on this one.  The rest will be embroidery stitches.

I like having this structure.  It helps to have it when adding the stitching.  I hope I have time for some stitching this afternoon!  It is cold outside so getting snuggly and stitching sounds good!

    I love the purple on the dark background. I can't discern the background color on my PC. Is it black? I am looking forward to seeing your embroidery on this.

Slow Stitching Sunday

 I am working on a crazy quilted stocking for my newest granddaughter.  I have included snippets of fabric from clothing that my Dad, Mom, hubby and myself have worn.  I am a sentimental sort to some degree.  I don't have much more to do and should have it finished in time for Christmas. It was fun to visit my Christmas stash of fabric.  It has been a long time since I have made anything in the Christmas theme.  I may have gone a little overboard with all the fabric I have used!  I have tried to tone it down by only using white or off-white trims and stitching.  I am hoping today I can get this project closer to finished.
