Slow Stitching Sunday

I haven't posted about this blue butterfly for a while.  I have added beads and silk ribbon embroidery.  It is getting closer to being finished.  I just noticed the wing on the left looks a bit off.  I need to correct that.  I did the same thing on my orange butterfly and have fixed that one.  It must have been the pattern I used.

I am not sure if I will get much stitching done on it today.  We will be getting our Christmas tree this afternoon.  We used to go to a Christmas tree farm and cut down our tree.  The price for that is now too high.  We will buy our tree from the Scouts, the same troupe my hubby belonged to.

  2. I like this butterfly. I don't see the problem with the wing, but we are critical of our own work. We get a real tree also, but will need to wait a week or so as our children will not be visiting until the week after Christmas. I want the grandkids to see it.

  3. That is so pretty, Angela! I loved zooming in and looking at it up close. Have fun getting your Christmas tree today!

  4. A live butterfly, in flight, is rightly 'a bit off', a dead one in a collection and displayed with a pin, is perfectly even. I think your butterfly is alive and well!
