bead journal project for May

I really like this piece.  I made silk paper and then did some needle felting to it.  I added some embroidery and beading.  I attached it all to some silk charmeuse.   The top photo is a close up of the beading but really you shouldn't view this piece too close.  I wish the photos did it better justice.

    This is really beautiful. I can see why you think it's best viewed from a distance, but the best of all would be to hold and see it in person.

    Ooooh, the colors and textures are so lush in this piece. It cries to me to touch it... feel the beads and the silk under my finger tips, which would know instantly of some wonderful, magical secret!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
