my first day of retirement was the best

Too bad I can't stay retired.  I spent my morning at an art workshop with Sandra Spagnuolo.  It was fun as usual.  I can't show the piece as I had to leave it at Sandra's to dry. 

We went out for lunch and then off to McLean's Auto Wreckers.  Oh my gosh that place is the best.  All the junk, rust and pealing paint are a feast for the eyes.  I know I will have to go back again and again.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
