TAST half chevron


When will I ever learn!  When doing a new stitch I should not immediately go to a project.  That is what I did on the top photo.  Well, after a long day of looking after two sons who had their wisdom teeth surgically removed I was not firing on all cylinders but I wanted to feel like I had had a productive day so I just went for it and stitched on this month's crazy quilt journal project.  duh!  bad move!  Clearly I wasn't getting it.

Today with a clearer head I stitched on  a practice piece and thankfully I figured it out.  The lower photo shows how I added to an existing practice piece.  I like the pastel colors.  I don't usually work with them.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
