TAST Cable Chain Stitch

Sharon at http://pintangle.com/ has been introducing me to many new stitches this year.  That is a good thing!  I don't always grasp them right away but generally I persist until I get it.  This one came fairly quick.  I am always grateful when that happens.  I stitched a sample on a scrap of fabric that I had previously experimented on, top photo.  If I keep adding stitches to that it could end up looking kind of interesting.  Once I felt confident in doing the stitch I added it to the crazy quilt block, bottom photo.

I, too, find it helpful to first take a few trial stitches on a piece of fabric scrap. When I have got the hang of a new stitch or the flow of one I already knew, they I can use it for my TAST project. Have fun!
